Qualifications

Postgraduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks in a relevant Social Science/Humanities discipline, preferably History, Odia, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Linguistics, Cultural Studies, Literature, Social and Cultural History, or allied disciplines, from a recognised University/Institution.

The candidate must have NET/M.Phil./Ph.D.

Proficiency in Odia and English, with the ability to read, comprehend and analyse academic, historical and archival materials in both languages is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:

Archival & Textual Research: Conduct comprehensive reviews of historical documents, vernacular archives, old periodicals, literary magazines, and administrative records related to language movements and the cultural history of Odisha.

Qualitative Analysis & Documentation: Examine linguistic debates, regional identity narratives, and print culture evolution to assist the Project Coordinator and Director in drafting research reports, working papers, policy briefs, and academic publications.

Fieldwork & Oral History: Coordinate and conduct interviews, focus group discussions, and field surveys with domain experts, cultural historians, and communities involved in regional identity and language preservation.

Academic & Administrative Support: Help organize academic seminars, workshops, and conferences centered on Odia cultural memory and identity, while maintaining rigorous project documentation and progress reports.
